VHS-2

The ^🌐VHS (Croatian: Višenamjenska Hrvatska Strojnica—"multifunctional Croatian machine gun") is a 5.56×45mm NATO bullpup assault rifle designed and manufactured by HS Produkt of Croatia.

A newer variant of the VHS, known as the VHS-2 was later unveiled by HS Produkt in 2013. Improvements include a more conventional fire selector and an ambidextrous ejection port that can be switched from left to right in less than a minute.

The VHS-2 is an assault rifle featured in Insurgency: Sandstorm. It was first revealed in a blog post detailing post-launch content. The VHS-2 was added in the June 17, 2019 update.

Trivia

• The VHS-2 reuses the same third-person reload animations as the L85A2, visually slapping the side of the receiver as if the bolt release was there, and hitting the side of the bolt to assist it forward.
• The actual VHS-2 can use G36, STANAG, or FAMAS magazines, thanks to an interchangeable magazine well. The one in the game uses M4/M16 STANAG magazines.
