Supply Points (SP) are a game mechanic and currency in the Insurgency series. They are used in the loadout to equip weapons, equipment, and attachments.
The amount of SP given to each player varies based on their class, gamemode, custom ruleset, team win-loss history, or MVP designation. Cooperative and some Limited Time Game Modes typically give the most SP, while Versus and Competitive modes give the least. Some gamemodes also give additional SP based on objectives or match events; for instance, in Skirmish players receive 1 SP for every respawn wave, while in Outpost players receive 2 SP for each wave successfully repelled.
Trivia[]
- In Insurgency's singleplayer modes, more SP can be granted at any time with the "give_supply" console command.
- In Insurgency, notes in Training establish that the reason Security uses less Supply Points for items than the Insurgents is because Security has a supplier that directly issues them weapons and equipment, while the Insurgents do not and largely rely on the black market.
