Wall penetration is a game mechanic that allows players to engage targets through light cover.

How It Works[]

Damage done by firing through cover is less than that inflicted by firing on a player directly, and the damage lost by penetration depends on a number of factors, including the type and thickness of the material, the angle of incidence, and the penetration qualities of the weapon.

For example, the penetration damage done by a Light Machine Gun through a plywood surface is much higher than that done by a pistol. However, firing through surfaces has no effect on the bullet's speed or flight path

Bullet Penetration Values[]

The caliber and type of a bullet determines its penetration power, as well as the range the bullet is fired from. Generally speaking, the larger the caliber, the higher the penetration power and the less power is lost at range. The type of bullet will also determine its penetration power, from most power to least power: AP Rounds, Standard Rounds/Tracer Rounds, HP Rounds.
