The kukri (Nepali: खुकुरी khukuri) is a Nepalese knife with an inwardly curved edge, similar to a machete, used as both a tool and as a weapon.
Insurgency[]
The Khukuri is a knife that appears in Insurgency. It is the Insurgent Forces' issued melee weapon and functions identically to the Security Forces' knife, only differing in appearance.
The Khukuri is an all-kit weapon that cannot be unequipped. It does relatively low damage to opponents facing the wielder. A significant damage bonus is applied to knife attacks from behind and will result in a one-hit kill.
Trivia[]
- The lower damage dealt to the front is supposedly to simulate the enemy fighting back.
- In the early days of Insurgency, the Khukuri required around 7 hits to the front to kill a player. This made it very difficult to get a kill from the front, especially since the enemy was very likely to spot the attacker while he was being attacked.
