The 🌐M3 is an American .45-caliber submachine gun adopted for U.S. Army service on 12 December 1942. It was chambered for the same .45 ACP round fired by the Thompson submachine gun, but was cheaper to produce and lighter. The M3 was commonly referred to as the "Grease Gun" or simply "the Greaser," owing to its visual similarity to the mechanic's tool.
Insurgency: Sandstorm[]
The Grease Gun is a submachine gun featured in Insurgency: Sandstorm. It was added in the Operation Nightfall update, used by Security forces.
The Grease Gun can only attach underbarrel grips if the Suppressor or Advanced Suppressor is equipped.

Trivia[]
- The Grease Gun is the oldest SMG used by Security forces (excluding any of the Insurgent weapons available to Security forces in co-op).
- The Grease Gun's suppressor is based on a suppressor that was issued by the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) on their M3 Grease Guns during WW2.
- The Advanced Suppressor, on the other hand, gives the Grease Gun a similar appearance to those equipped by the Phillippine Navy and Marine Corps, known as the "M3 Spec Ops Gen 2".
