The crouch position in first person shooters consists of the player bending his knees to lower his vertical profile, in exchange for a slightly larger horizontal profile.
Insurgency[]
In Insurgency, players can go into the crouch position by pressing CTRL by default. When crouched, the player's vertical silhouette is reduced and their accuracy is increased. Crouch is also extremely useful when firing behind cover, as it allows players to pop up and down from cover. Additionally, if the player goes into the crouched position while sprinting, the player will perform a slide. However, while crouched, the player moves at a fraction of the speed of a standing player and they cannot jump.
