The Community Test Environment (CTE) is an alternative version of the Insurgency: Sandstorm video game available to all players who own the game. The feature allows players to test new gameplay features that may be added in future patches on servers separate from the base game they are played on.
It was announced on February 21, 2019 and released the next day.[1][2]
