The release date is online on the Sandstorm website at http://insurgency-sandstorm.com/
The beta is already accessible for people who pre-order the game. For more information, see the Insurgency: Sandstorm article. For the contents of the game, see portal:Insurgency: Sandstorm
Two videos from E3 give us a whole lot of new information on Insurgency: Sandstorm. Many pages are already updated, including the Classes of Insurgency: Sandstorm article. We also got eyes on which weapons will be in the game.
Now it should be noted that we are not entirely sure if weapons will be limited per team. In the E3 gameplay it looks like all weapons are usable by both teams, but that could also be for demonstration.
- Sandstorm keeps the Supply Points system from Insurgency.
- Players will not only be able to call in support, there is also a class which can deploy machine guns.
- There are Binoculars.
- There will be replay tools/spectator tools.
- Players are able to customise their character's voice.
- Carrying a knife seems optional.…
NWI announced a release date estimation for Insurgency: Sandstorm:
September 2018 for PC
Q1 2019 for console
The price has also been set:
Players who bought Insurgency will get a 10% discount. Pre-ordering the game also gives an additional 10% off.
We got another Insurgency: Sandstorm gameplay video, showing off reload mechanics. Reloads in Sandstorm are even more realistic. If the reloading is interrupted, the weapon will be as it should be in real life. For example, the magazine already fell out but you need to switch to your sidearm to defend yourself. When you switch back to your primary, there will still be one round in the chamber. Pressing reload will make your character load a new magazine, which will be faster than a normal reload because the previous mag was already ejected.
Today we got a massive update for Insurgency: Sandstorm. Due to the media embargo, NWI wasn't able to upload images from the studio about the game, but that embargo ended today. Which means we can expect some more news on the way, and maybe some screenshots like the two here on the right.
Sandstorm will be released in 2018, and NWI hopes to release a closed alpha at the end of this year. Unlike Insurgency, Insurgency: Sandstorm will be available for the PS4 and Xbox 1, as well as on Steam. To make this possible, the game doesn't run on Valve's Source engine, but on Unreal Engine 4.
We can expect bigger maps, with longer range engagements. This will also help for the following point:
YES! I personally am a big fan of using vehicles in games. T…
A new update has arrived to Insurgency! It brings a new map,
some new animations, and many other small improvements. See
for the complete changelist.
Also, the game is on a -85% sale for the rest of the month! It would be a crime to not pick it up if you haven't already.
Along with the update, the Day of Infamy mod has been updated with two new maps and a new weapon. See http://newworldinteractive.com/day-of-infamy-mod-update-may-26-2016/ for the changelist.
So, I'm sure everyone knows about Insurgency's large modding community, from mapping to model swapping for weapons, players, etc. to sound design. I personally believe that the quality of some of this content is a bit low for the kind of game Insurgency is. I'm talking about weapon retextures, mainly some random camouflage that is smothered all over the weapon like it's Call of Duty. The same goes for model swaps using models and textures from other games, which end up looking pretty bad simply because those other games' engines render graphics completely differently. Some of them even have animation edits, which are typically poorly executed and it's easy to tell that no decent level of effort was put into it. Don't get me wrong, I can re…
Pretty late, but better late than never. The official New World Interactive wiki has been launched and can be found at http://wiki.newworldinteractive.com/
Right now the wiki already contains instructions and help for modding, and new content will be added soon. Yingerman and I are currently with NWI in contact about how this all will turn out. Stay updated on this post, and leave a comment if you have any questions!

New World Interactive has relaunched their company website at https://newworldinteractive.com - along with the relaunch of their official forums. This is after the forums were shut down nearly 10 months ago after the site was compromised. Additionally, there is also a Roadmap on Trello that you can use to follow the development of what NWI is working on next, what's being tested, and submit requests that you'd like to see in Insurgency.
These resources will allow the Wiki to stay more up to date with the developers and the community. Sections of developer blogs can be added to pages in the form of trivia, and various technical aspects of the game may be revealed through these mediums.
And P.S., the NWI homepage has a direct link to the Insur…
Insurgency Wiki now has an official link on the NWI website, and that's awesome! Thank for you guys for making Insurgency Wiki great!

Recently, I've been thinking about making a mod for insurgency (if possible). I was thinking about a mod that skins insurgency to look like the British military.
First I was thinking about making the soldiers first. Then weapons. The if possible, different vocals for the soldiers.
Assault rifles (including carbines)

M4A1 ~ L82A2
M249 ~ L86A2

M1911 ~ L131A1

This means that the site will still work, but will look somewhat different. There's nothing we can do about it, except hoping that wikia fixes the issues soon.
See Weekend Security Issues for the discussion.
- EDIT: It looks like the CSS has been activated again, which means there are just some small things that won't work anymore, but the site looks normal again.
I'm not sure how many people will read this, as this wiki is pretty quiet. Still, it has more than 11000 views per week so I decided to write this first news blog post to give some explanation.
Maybe you knew already, but I'm new to this wiki. At this moment, the wiki is undergoing a massive overhaul. Pages are getting new infoboxes and are categorised.
Because of the extremely low activity here, I never got much feedback on the changes I made here. If you have any feedback, suggestions or other comments please leave them below, no matter who you are!
August 4 hosted the release the the free "Hunt" DLC, the "most significant update to Insurgency since Molotov Spring." Major updates like this mean the wiki needs a bit of love to get back up to date.
If you'd like to help, please check out the new cleanup category which contains all the pages that need to be updated as a result of the DLC. View the full list of Insurgency: Hunt content updates on the NWI forums.

Okay, I don't know much about blogs, I don't even actually have one myself. And I'm new to this Wikia stuff. Don't get me wrong, I have been reading Wikias or Wikis for a long time (Especially the Halo Wiki, I spent hours and days diving through the lore), I'm just never a part of the Wikia community.
That said, I'll just be reading and skimming the articles already published here, as well as editting and refining them if necessary.
Well, I'm just your average gamer-brony-schoolboy who happens to know A LOT about everything Halo, MLP: Friendship is Magic, and Interstellar Marines. I don't have anything else to say about me aside from the following. But if you would like to know more about me, why not hit me up on Steam ?
So, I may sound like a fa…
