The 🌐IWI ACE is a family of rifles produced by Israel Weapon Industries (IWI). It is produced in three different calibers; 5.56×45mm NATO, 7.62×39mm and 7.62×51mm NATO.

The ACE family is based upon the mechanism of the IMI Galil, but using a modernized design and materials to increase its accuracy and lower its weight, while maintaining the Galil's ergonomics, ease of maintenance and reliability under battle conditions.

Insurgency: Sandstorm[]

The ACE 52 is a battle rifle available for the Insurgent Forces. It was added in the March 17, 2020 update.[1][2]

The ACE 52 is a large caliber battle rifle, easily capable of consistently eliminating hostiles with just one or two shots. Like the G3A3, the ACE utilizes its large caliber in a long-range role, with performance and attachments that suit a more passive playstyle.

The ACE 52 functions similarly to the Security forces' Mk 17 Mod 0 (SCAR), and is basically an upgrade. In fact, the ACE builds upon every aspect of the SCAR, making it an interesting addition to the Insurgent arsenal, as it fills a pseudo-DMR role. One aspect that the ACE 52 outperforms the SCAR is the fire rate. While not blazing fast like the Tavor 7, the slower fire rate of 632 RPM does make the ACE kick slightly more than the SCAR, but even still it is very tame, allowing for precision even in full-auto fire.

One drawback to the ACE 52, along with all Battle rifles, is its smaller base capacity of 20 rounds, with an upgrade costing 2 additional SP to increase up to 30. With the slower fire rate of the ACE and the damage output, extended magazines aren't necessary, but can help in certain situations.

Despite the Tavor 7 being able to scavenge magazines from the ACE 52, the same cannot be said for the ACE 52. The ACE is also unable to use scavenged magazines from the M110 SASS, despite both using 7.62x51 NATO SR-25-type magazines.

Trivia[]

  • The ACE 52 in-game is heavily based on the GAR1651 (a civilian variant of the ACE 52) rather than a military ACE 52. For example, the in-game model uses SR-25 magazines (whereas the military ACE 52 uses 7.62 NATO Galil magazines), lacks a bayonet lug, and has a full-length Picatinny rail (which is a feature that is more commonly found on civilian ACE models, although it's possible for military ACE rifles to also feature full-length rails), which are all characteristics of the GAR1651. However, the rifle in-game still correctly has a 3-position selector switch with full-auto, which is what a military ACE 52 would have.
    • In pre-release renders of the ACE 52, the rifle had a 2-position safe/semi selector switch, which further indicates the rifle was originally modelled on the GAR1651.
    • In 2021, IWI released a version of the ACE 52 called the ACE-N 52 (N for "NATO") which is a military select-fire version that can take SR-25 magazines. Essentially, it is similar to the weapon in game, although the game version predates the real-life version by a year.
  • The ACE 52's bolt locks back on an empty chamber in the game, visually indicating that the gun is empty. However, the real life GAR1651 and ACE-N 52 do not have this feature, despite SR-25 magazines having a bolt hold open capability on other rifles.
